I'm using a RODE VideoMic Pro routed into a Zoom H4n..

Depends on your usage needs. For near field recording, zoom h4n is about $400 with excellent audio quality.

The cheapest one you can get is the shengu sg108 mic, u can get it for $50, its decent. If you want i can sell you mine, because i bought it and didnt use much
