Hi,

like to check for my brother for video editing rig what will affect the render time most?

His current system is
i5 2310 2.9GHZ
6GB RAM
GT 520 1GB DDR 3 graphic card.

Upgrade the GPU or add more RAM will be better?

For video editing, CPU, RAM and hard disk are important factors. Core i7 and more RAM and bigger hard disk space.

change to SSD if possible, get 32gb ram and a 2gb ram GPU card
