Suppose you want 3G or at least GPRS, any prepaid card can be used: Mobifone, Viettel, Vinaphone. 100K VND (8 SGD) enough for you to check mail, surf light web for a few days.

You can ask the seller enable the plan for you, there are some data plans like per day, per week etc which can save you a lot if you use too much.

if you are planning on surfing while travelling, i suggest you just drop by any cafe store in vietnam (most are equipped with free wifi rather than use 3G as its rather expensive and slow...

What u meant by "tense". Now is the best time to visit the north. Cooling weather.

go during jan-feb.... weather is the coldest at northern vietnam. etc hanoi and sapa...

Jan-feb is too cold to enjoy Sapa. Sapa might drop below 10. Hanoi abt 15.
