Looks like Hanoi much more ex than HCM.

wonder if the rates of hotels comparable?

I like Hanoi. Must go book 2d1n halong bay.

Never been to Vietnam before...

Bet Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city, which one is better?

i would rate Hanoi > Hcmc.

been to both cities twice. first time round was Hcmc > Hanoi.
but second time round its e reverse. guess its due to the weather.. its very shiok during the winter times in Hanoi.. and also Hanoi can access Sapa and Halong Bay which are really worthy visits.

halong bay can go tour. sapa its better to go F & E. cos agency will charge u first class train ticket but sell u second class bed.

u can go the official sinhtourist agency and purchase if u wan. its better to purchase over there than over the website.

but sinhtourist generally charge a slightly higher price as compared to those normal agencies..

u can go to their gold/jewellery shop if u cant find money changers. rates are quite standard.

10sgd for food each meal... more than enough usually unless u go for high-class places like hotel etc. bring SGD enough go there exchange for dongs. go airport exchange some to take taxi to hcm city center then go to jewellery shops near ben thanh market to exchange what u need...
