anyone has any recommendations on a fun hostel in Ho Chin Minh for a solo traveller? The tickets for the jetstar promo quite attractive. Sub $100.

Is 4D3N overkill? Planning to do the xoxo foodie tour

1. This is more of the US dollar getting stronger overall with the feds trying to jumpstart the economy with some success. You'll see similar charts of USD against most currencies, not just SGD.

2. This downtrend is only for the last year. If you look at the charts for the last 10 years, you'll see SGD rising against USD for most of the years, and reaching a plateau in 2012 till 2014. In other words, in the longer term, the SGD did get much stronger.

3. Looking at the long term charts of SGD vs VND, THB, MYR, AUD, etc, you'll see SGD gaining on all of these currencies.

4. As in all financial charts, it's not possible to be on a perpetual rise. There will be localised, short term declines. What's important is that it trends upwards in the longer term. If this decline continues for another year, then we should start worrying. For now, no worries.

5. This is a great time to travel and spend your SGD.

'Clear reasons' are that they went directly from Changi to Geylang to work. Well, that's semi-official reason.

Our female friend from Saigon was planing to visit us in September and now she is postponing travel because of this. She said that a lot of people in Vietnam are really upset due to automatically labeling single female Vietnamese traveller as a prostitute.

that's what I worried. 人言可畏 ... anyhow say anyhow believe
obviously if any viet lady is here for tour or work should not be afraid.
Just produce the relevant docs will do.

but our custom should at least get someone who can speak viet if they suspect others. their usual high handed style will sabo us.

like that good lor, if those unhappy viet go home anyhow say then sinkee visitor siao liao

With 5 days you can sign up for excursions, like those to the Mekong delta and the Cu Chi Tunnels. Several destinations in your list do not take up much time.
