Because USD dropped big time against all other currencies lately. Usdsgd is now close to 1.32. Oh my god

Japan finance minister ASO came out to talk abt JPY strength today hoping to weaken it.

Dong rate used to be quite bad in sg say 2yrs back? Or maybe went to the wrong ahneh lol. Was surprise to see 16700+ everywhere for past months. Lately even higher.

Saw few people have to buy data sim card from the counter behind the immigration ...
price is about 14sgd ...
to use their data in order to show them your booking itinenary , the data was very weak or non-existence in airport immigration area, not sure why some managed to connect ... while saw few went to buy sim card ...

That one is under Viettel and pricey. viettel even set up one small counter behind the immigration passport check queue. One just needs to proceed further downstairs to collect luggage, then pass by the green lane and turn left after the exit door, vinaphone and mobifone are waiting for you.

I bought a 4G 5GB sim card from vinaphone for only 105K (S$6.20) and that's more than enough data that i ever need for my 4d trip in HCMC (still have balance of 3GB though).

yeah ... i understand there are many counters selling sim card
i bought before 5gb about 100k ... many counters after immigration ...

the issue is that you dont show ur booking flight itinenary, you cant pass the immigration counter ... you have to either buy, or slowly wait there ...
there is only one shop there only ... many tourists, including Singaporeans didnt print or printscreen on their mobile phone ...

Tried viettel mobifone and vinaphone... since I am usually travelling to Vietnam for work. Viettel is better for me. Imo coverage and connection quality better. Easier for me to get top up.
But I do agree that vinaphone n mobifone gives way more data

thanks ... currently plan to stop at HCMC for few days before heading to danang/hoi

may change plans to near HCMC (e.g mui ne) if don't have enough days

Book online. booking directly over the counter from my experience usually more ex

But do give yourself a 2hr buffer for your connecting flights between SG and danang.
This is to factor in flight delays over at the SG side.

if no time, can try HCMC - DALAT - NHA TRANG - MUI NE combo.
