how much you guys spend daily in vietnam?
SGD $100 a day enough? food + transportation

:s11:

Food and grab car is much cheaper than Sg.

From Da Nang city to airport, grab was 42k+10k.
From HCM TSN airport to district 1 hotel near Ben Thanh was 72k+10k.

A bowl of pho around 58k, ice milk coffee 15k. Just to give you an idea.

Btw, beer is damn cheap, about 1/3 of Sg price.

Prefer chicken pho/mien over beef

Mien = mian 面
Ga = chicken

So you're having chicken noodles.

Enjoy!

Next time try the 水饺面 mien sui cao. There's a 50m street full of sui cao shops.

The regular "kopitiam" food stalls and drink stalls in Vietnam are not very expensive.
25K to 35K for pho.
Cai png around 25k to 40K
Banh mi as low as 12k
Ca phe sua da for 10K

Unless you visit those stalls which are extremely popular... It will cost around 80K to 100K per bowl of food

Not road side, not back alley. Decent, proper food stalls.

Local Restaurants also have cheap and expensive ones. And this applies to most districts in HCMC.

Since you bring up Q1,3,5,10... Within these few districts, the pricing for the same dish can be like 40K difference

In the tourist area of Ben Thanh, some food stalls have different pricing. One for locals. One for tourists.
Some even have different menus for locals and tourists.

when I first visited Vietnam about 7-8 yrs ago. I rarely explore around for cheap eats. I went to mid-range restaurants like KFC, Jolliebee, Pho Hung, Pho24, Pho Hoa (Pasteur)
Whereby the food pricing is like Singapore pricing. 50K-80k per bowl. But serving is much bigger.

As I had more trips to Vietnam, slowly i started to explore around, started to learn a few common Viet phrases and I started to learn more

I found those shops at those main roads mostly selling 50 - 70K pho compare to backalley around 20 - 30K, look at famous pho call pho le at D5 cost also from 60 - 80K dont think is cheap for locals as well.

The most economical from my POV is mon hue, got air con some more.

Between i still eating their fast food, there got heo (pork) burger at MacDonald. Texas chicken are way more juicier and bigger than SG.

Famous of course expensive haha

I have yet to come across a famous food restaurant in Vietnam which has not raised their pricing pegged to USD
Most have raised their prices many times in the past 3-4 years
