Just don't change at their airport. There is also a gold shop beside the Ben Thanh market.

Ben thanh rate not very good also.
Most of the time if i gt no dong,i will exchange $20 at airport first. Then take grab to 84c cong quynh there to exchange.

if you are changing some small amount, just hange any where with a good rate, dont need purposely go that place just to save some few bucks.
your time taken + transport cost more than that 2 - 3 dollar.

Just remember don't change very small SGD denominations like
$10 notes or $20 notes
Usually will tio chop by the money changer unless you are regular.

Best to go with $50 note/$100 note

There are nice hotels around Old quarter/hoan kiem area (tourist)

You can go west to Sapa mountains.

North. You can consider Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang

You can explore Van Hanh Mall. It is a very singaporean mall. Many singapore brands there. Many hot pots, japanese food, milk tea and of course vietnamese restaurants. Not everyone can adapt to Vietnamese food. Me is one...

Kid.... How old and any food allergies?

Cuz if you are talking about like 2-3 year old and still need baby chair....
so far... from my personal experience, I don't see A lot of Vietnam restaurants offer baby chairs and are not very infant-friendly and toddler-friendly
