Will be visiting Hanoi for 4d3n next month. Is grab from Noi Bai international airport to my hotel at old quarter the most common method?

I was scammed before in HCM when I board some random taxi hahaha

U must know where to take the grab at the Noi Bai airport.
Quite chaos when u arrive there.
Specially if you r first timer.

So I took their taxi to old quarters.
Back to airport then take Grab.

I can’t remember the cost.
Somewhere $350k to 400k for taxi.
Which translate to $20 - $25 sgd for 40 -45 mins ride. Depending the time u arrive. I reached during the peak hours. Jam damn Sianz.

Thanks. You got go Tam Dao? I am planning to rent a motorcycle and go somewhere manageable. I think Sapa, halong bay a bit too adventurous for me.

Never. Only go halong bay.
The view is fantastic. No regrets the 4 hrs minibus ride. (To & fro) :s13:

Hi Bros

I am thinking of going Da nang -Hoi an- HCM.
I am going as a solo traveler, can I check the below:
- Is it too rush?
- Seeking for advice if the below itinerary is ok?

Details:
Day 1 ( 28th Dec) - SG -Da nang, immediately go Hoi an ( over night)
Day 2 (29th Dec) - Hoi an - Da nang (explore Marble mountains)
Day 3 (30th Dec) - Da nang - Ba na hills
Day 4 ( 31st Dec) – Da nang - HCM ( visit friends) - 10am flt departure from Da nang
Day 5 (1st Jan) - HCM ( visit friends)
Day 6 ( 2nd Jan) – HCM-SG

Danang and Hoi an – This would be my first trip to these 2 places.
After reading the previous post, thank you to all for the contribution of travelling experiences.
I don’t plan to visit the museums, probably just walk around and enjoy the local food.
Would 1 day + same night would be sufficient to cover Hoi An?

HCM
Although it was 8 yrs ago, my last trip to HCM, I had visited the popular tourist sites twice already.
Do not plan to do any sightseeing , just to use the 2 days to catch up with local friends.
Key highlight for this trip: celebrate New Year's Eve countdown in HCM.

Hope can get some advice. Thanks!

I am also thinking of visiting HCM & Nha Trang around mid Sep. Wondering if its raining season there and how bad is it?

Any recommendation which district to stay?

Been to HCM once and stayed in D10.

Anyone been to Nha Trang?

Anyone used his/her YouTrip card in Ho Chi Minh? are cards readily accepted in HCM?

Thanks!

Hanoi have live band at Old quarters.

It’s a one street full of bars.
Very crowded.

Near the night market.
Came back SG already. Bars a lot but no play chinese songs one haha.

Old quarters/Hanoi bars seem quite chill compared to HCM. Quite boring to be honest
