hanoi worth a visit?

4 days enough? just wanna go see see look look.

Hanoi by itself is pretty boring. You need to book a tour to expand outwards to places like ha long bay or ninh binh. For 4 days you can include 1 of them in your trip.

Be sure to go over the weekends friday- sunday. There are more events in Hanoi Hoan Kiem lake during the weekends

always good to experience other people culture & lifestyle, just don't make comparison
  • beautiful french colonial architectures
  • autumn weather is lovely
  • hanoi food quite different from HCM
  • good base for exploring out northern areas

How is vietjetair? Wun suka suka cancel?

Took once or twice. First time take already flight delayed. And even if you check in online, when you reach the airport, you'll find that you wasn't check in at all and need to rush like mad.
Anyway, I've just booked this airline for my coming trip. Cause scoot and jet star flight timing don't suit me.
I used sky scanner and used hutch to book my ticket, and surprisingly is cheaper that official website, and comes with 20kg luggage even though i didn't ask for. Cost only $122.

Hi grapewall,

Thanks for sharing this website.
I booked for Danang (via official site) for 31st Dec'22-04 Jan'23, $266 with 15kg luggage add on.

Can I check the below:
1) Is this the website you are referring to?
https://www.hutchgo.com.sg/en/

2) I tried to book a flt to Danang on the same travel period.
The booking detail indicate the cost include: "Carry-on Baggage Only", can i ask how did u manage to get the " "check in baggage" option? Thanks!

you should be worried about the safety rather than the delays and cancellations.

i would rather pay extra to take sq or scoot than to take vn and vietjet. my personal preference.

likewise, i don't take Taiwanese carriers. the quality of the Taiwanese pilots is questionable. Eva Air is still ok for me though.

Yes. This is the one.
I don't know why they gave me 20kg luggage. I didn't ask for it. At this price, by right cant get any check in luggage at all.

I am also concerned about safety. That's why i don't dare to take Air Asia. But this time, scoot and jet star don't have afternoon flights, although pre covid they have. So no choice, i have to take a gamble on Viet jet.

Hi,

Would like to check how convenient is it to travel around Hanoi in a group of 6-7 people? And if possible any good food recommendation and locations (other than those usual must-visit places).

Are those 6-7 seater Maxi cab or van readily available? Or would it be better to book a local transport (like those TW tour where we can engage a driver for his service for whole day, etc)?
