I will be visiting Hanoi and Halong Bay for in December for a 5D4N trip.
Want to check should bring more cash along or major credit cards are accepted at most of the places? Or is there similar eWallet like touch and go like what is for Malaysia?

you should be worried about the safety rather than the delays and cancellations.

i would rather pay extra to take sq or scoot than to take vn and vietjet. my personal preference.

likewise, i don't take Taiwanese carriers. the quality of the Taiwanese pilots is questionable. Eva Air is still ok for me though.
Agreed. Heard a lot of horror stories a lot Taiwanese carriers. Even China carriers are better than them.

This is my first time as well! I have a class 2 here but Singapore roads do not excite me anymore; not to mention very expensive as I go pass ERP daily. I recommend you to join route55 (can google yourself) level 1 and 2 courses after you pass your TP to prepare you for overseas ride.

Vietnam was my first overseas motorbike ride. It was on a Russian Minsk on the Sapa Hanoi loop, back when the highway was not built and cable car was not there at Fansipan yet. Now I feel like a old man.

Visiting Hanoi for a short trip 5D4N
How about this itinerary. Any suggestions to improve? Family trip

D1- Hanoi, Plane arriving late afternoon. Check in to hotel rest and explore pubs etc and maybe visit Hanoi sky Lotte deck

D2- Hanoi, join a full day Hanoi city tour found in Klook

D3- Halong Bay overnight cruise.

D4- Halong Bay back to Hanoi in late afternoon

D5- Return back to SG

not sure if I should plan for overnight cruise or overnight in normal hotel in Halong Bay or just go for a day trip to Halong Bay

any suggestions? First time to Vietnam

Anyone changed money in Tan Son Nhat Airport before? How are the rates? Otherwise, any recommendations to change in Vũng Tàu?

I was at Hoi An last week. The Japanese bridge is flooded. Can't even cross over. The rain there is heavy. Umbrella also no use, have to use raincoat. Best to avoid going there, raining season.
Lucky when at Golden Bridge, the weather is good.

Yes after you take your luggage along the way. There is few booth selling SIM card. The promotors keep calling u to come to their booth. I bought data unlimited only for 220K. They will help you setup. Not sure the price outside the airport selling, find it difficult to communicate with them in English.
Buy at Airport more convenient for me.
