The VND is still a restricted currency. The best rates are in-country. Here, you can go to Raffles Place or City Plaza.

Can. Go contact vietnammotorbiketoursclub.com. I am going solo, and joining 3 strangers from Australia as well.

This is my first time as well! I have a class 2 here but Singapore roads do not excite me anymore; not to mention very expensive as I go pass ERP daily. I recommend you to join route55 (can google yourself) level 1 and 2 courses after you pass your TP to prepare you for overseas ride.
Thanks for your tips bro!

Got my Class 2B licence already. Enrolled July, passed in October.
im buying hanoi air ticket and thinking to go for Ha Giang Loop for 2 weeks in early november.
Not sure how difficult it will be for motorbike newbie. Also aiming to do Mae Hon Son in late December.

May I ask is it worth buying KLook tickets to Bana Hill? Is it very rush?
Or I get hotel to arrange private return transfer and buy my own entrance tickets?
Thanks

Congrats! I would think to brush up on your off roading skills first before attempting ha giang loop? If you are just going to be there and stick to main roads, it is not going to be that fun

Once you call a grab there, the driver normally will offer you to wait at Bana Hills Car Park for you till you're down so they can fetch you back. As for the price, you can discuss with the driver.

Hi Jay9999,
Thnks for yr reply.
I will try tht suggestion.
If me and the driver cannot agree on a price, I will see what other transport alternatives I can find at Bana hills back to Danang city as the situation develop.
When I am back in SG, I will feedback in the forum to share, what transport alternatives I can find at Bana hills back to Danang city.

I hope I do not get stuck there. haha

They do have taxi drivers there asking you for a ride back, but I presume they would be calling the price instead

Can consider buying shuttle bus ticket. Pickup at 430pm. I plan to go over early to beat the crowd and try see sunrise over bridge at 8am. Had planned for pvt car from klook to pick up at 7am. But come back via the roundtrip shuttle bus.

I'd a quote from a private transport for 3 adults.
Day 1 Airport to hotel
Day 2 Bana Hills
Day 3 Hou An
Day 4 Da Nang City tour1pm till 10pm
Day 5 don't need driver
Day 6 Hotel to airport.
Driver quote me 180 USD.
I find tat expensive.

Hi Shadow84,
Thanks for sharing yr itinerary.
My plan is to go Bana hills by Grab, I think it might be cheaper than pvt car.
I have read that 1/2 day trip at Bana hills would be enough for a solo trip, so plan to leave ard 2-3pm.
I would plan to use the rest of the day, to explore abit more in the Danang city area.
So I guess my problem is the return trip to the city area at the odd time ( 2-3pm).

As per below, is a service provider shared by a forum member who had used the service recently.
so checking is there anything cheaper and reliable than the below.

those who have used grab before, it is the same apps that we installed in Singapore or have to install their local grab apps?

Same app, once u land and use local simcard, it will convert to viet locale. Just make sure u type address or landmark correctly. Didnt realise got a small diff during my trip in Hanoi, ended up somewhere else and had to walk back.
