saw a few selections so u can choose
so what u to do in miu ne, anything interesting?
I was in Mui Ne for 3 days 2 nights.
I had booked the jeep group tour ( White Sand Dunes + Lotus lake / Red Sand Dunes / Fairy Stream / Fishing village) from klook ($25). After my tour, I went to the local tour agencies and realized they charge cheaper at VND 130K-150K instead. I find the tour go once is enough already.

I had wanted to go to the wine castle on my own as well, unfortunately I think the grab bike rate was too low, I did not manage to get a ride for 30mins and gave up on the trip.
During my visit, Fish sauce museum was closed.

As I do not drive, it was not economical to get a grab taxi. It would be very helpful to either go with a group of friends (economic reasons) or self drive to explore Mui ne to the places I went.

I stayed at May's Bungalow, you can use goggle map to reference the proximity to the places I had visited or amenities ard the area.
After going there, I think it is considered the main town in Mui ne, as it had quite a number of eating places / schools / tour agencies / oil massage (starting VND 200K onwards).

For some reason, the eating places are closed for lunch, so it good to buy food by 1130am to keep for lunch.

In summary,
Unless you are into sea sports, this would be a good place to come often as the place is very windy close to 80% of the year. I saw alot of ang mo and interestingly alot of Russians there as well.

As I chose to walk for most of my trip in Mui Ne, the places I had visited were very limited.

For some reason there were no sandy beaches near my homestay, my homestay was near a 2km long breakwater, which was better than the rest of the hotels which had their small portion of hotel space next to the sea.

During my land tour, I had seen other hotels (close to the white sand dunes) which had sandy beaches. However, I felt it was very ulu with not many eating places.

Being able to self drive, would definitely allow u to explore more of Mui Ne and nearby Phan Thiet as well.

If I go back there again, would probably go back there to relax for a quick 2D1N.

You can try to download a spoof GPS app, to enable yr grab app to check where is the nearest Grab bike pick up point. I had used that to simulate the Grab prices before I went for my trip.

Yes. It will be behind the domestic multi-storey carpark
The area right outside arrival hall are meant for private cars, hotel transfers, taxi. Sometimes grabcar might not even be allowed to enter the arrival area to pickup passengers

Yes, have to walk past domestic airport, walk pass highlands coffee, go into the multi cp, then go out to the grabbike pick up. It's a far walk but I always take it even with a luggage. Save a lot of money and it's fast

At Mui Ne, use both grab and Mai Linh apps, the taxis are plentiful, just fewer private cars because they own scooters.

after my Jeep tour, I gave the driver 200k vnd as tips, guess he should be happy if it’s more than the local rate for tours. He took many photos for my family and it’s only sgd 12. For Jeep tour, you can pay driver extra to let out tyre pressure, turn on 4 WD, and drive to the top of white sand dunes, very nice view during sunset

yes, place is windy, they have many wind turbines to generate wind power for electricity

a lot of Russians go there to escape winter, many of then when I visited in Dec, they stay at the bench resorts. The resorts have big rooms costing less than sgd 100 per night with breakfast
