I am thinking whether there are good places to drop second hand clothes to donate. Often, I have a 30kg luggage allowance but only use 20 kg for the flight to Vietnam. I can take some second hand clothes to donate, I am sure the Vietnamese appreciate them better than Singaporeans.

or should I just leave them with the hotel?

I remember Salvation army always recommend us to divide clothing and shoes. One pack clothing, one pack shoes.
Best to donate items which are still in good working conditions.

The idea is good, but I am not sure shoes and clothes should be deposited together, it’s like your shoes will dirty the clothes unless you wipe the soles of the shoes very cleanly.
just do basic cleaning then keep in plastic bag / wrap in paper before depositing?

Not wrong. Personal preference
why not you personally visit those bars you googled and see for yourself?

afaik, the nightlife scene in Vietnam pre-covid and post-covid is very different... many of the bars pubs and nightclubs I know and visit no longer exist. In their places are probably new ones.

Therefore, I personally recommend you to go and see see look look yourself.

What suits me... The vibe, atmosphere, music etc may not suit you

I think the private female guide topic should restrict to PM, you never know if there are under 18 who visit this thread and see all the posts on how to jio private female guides or which bars to go…there are so many YouTube’s and information already online…

if you are looking for wife in Vietnam, this video can help you.

September and october are high potential typhoon period for Vietnam.
Its a risk you need to assess
If you really wanna go, i strongly advise to get good travel insurance to cover yourself, in the event typhoon hit middle Vietnam affecting all transports, planes, trains etx
