No free roaming. Just that i have many lines in my family (total 6). Using the new promo share plan, its only cost $40 for main line and each additional line at $1 more only.

I been to hanoi once but more than 30 times in hcmc. i found hcmc more backwards. Hanoi is more city-like like singapore. I dont see homeless ppl on the street or street vendors.

Hcmc is more hectic-like. Quite a few homeless on the streets and many street vendors.

Enjoy your trip.
Hanoi have homeless people… just that we don’t see them around hoan kiem cuz its tourist area

Anyone can advise itinerary for Hanoi and Halong Bay? I will be there for 5 days in November.

My plan is to go to Train Street, Night Market, Hanoi Opera House, St. Joseph's Cathedral, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Temple, and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Any other places of interest that I should go?

Halong Bay take the 1 day tour should be enough?

Is it advisable to go Sapa as well?

I advise for the 2 day tour to Halong Bay so you can stay overnight on the vessel berthed at the bay. With this, Sapa is out of the question and in any case, take your time with Hanoi.

I was thinking about going for a 1 day tour of Halong Bay. Any difference with staying overnight?

The difference is a memorable experience of staying the night at sea in the bay under the stars and rising to the sunrise the following morning. Perhaps you do not mind forgoing this for a tight itinerary that brings you back to Hanoi on the same day (evening) you set out.

If you are there with wife or gf, staying overnight is recommended. If you are bringing young children, not recommended as nothing much to do at night except to fish for squid, which hardly bite. From what I know, the rooms are not cheap, not very large and do not have triple beds.

e.g , I slayed one night with my wife. Very romantic and nice buffet Celebrating Halloween on the cruise. However, I will be bringing my son to HLB next year Nov and I told my wife I will not stay overnight unless I can find a triple room on promotion price,

5 days, you can skip Sapa, not feasible as travelling alone will take 5hrs one way. 2 ways will be 10 hours.

old quarters night market only available on weekends.

you can catch water puppet show at Hanoi, the water pond bigger than HCM.

highly recommend museum of ethnology - many village huts from various provinces over Vietnam

can also consider Temple of Literature.

anyone know if withdrawing $ in Vietnam got extra charges?
Youtrip $400/mth withdrawal also no fee.

Usually when iPhone launch, i see many Vietnamese camping outside telco to purchase at premium price. Is it true that the mobile device in Vn is more costly?

Youtrip no fee for withdrawal doesn’t mean local bank doesn’t charge a fee.

Tried once, very good but forgotten the brand which my customers said is very popular. U can always buy 1 to try first. Bakery Lien Hoa chain stores not bad too.

Now super lelong B1F1 even got B1F2. Prices up quite a lot compared to before covid.
