how did u book the tour from sinh cafe?
is it via online?

i booked my sinh cafe tour online.

when reached HCMC, gave them a call to tell them which hotel i'm at. Next day, when the tour started, they picked us up at the hotel and then drove back to Sinh Cafe to pick up the other tourists who were waiting at the office.

did they ask you to pay online via credit card? or did they say payment upon pickup?

hi there,

nope, i only paid the first day of the sinh cafe tour, ie, they picked me up at the hotel and we went to sinh cafe office to pick up the other tourists. at this point, i went to the office, showed them my printed emails, paid, received the vouchers/tickets for that day and the next few days, then back to the bus i went.

it is really affordable to get the hotel pickup. about 2 USD IIRC.

strange..they never allowed that before, usually would have asked for payment or a deposit.. i bet the 'fake sinhcafes agents' probably bitten into their pockets..

but if u guys are looking for a budgetted tour with other nationalities (its fun actually), sinh cafe is are the way to go :)

Delta is more mekong tour oriented imo, while sinh cafe is more land based. however in terms of packages, i think sinh cafes offer more in terms of choice. Price wise, i've never checked with Deltas b4..

i think the sinh cafe's mekong 1 day tour is very worth it. IIRC $10-12 USD including lunch and pickup from hotel.

But I didn't really enjoy it, as most of the time it's just a boat ride going to places.

yup, Dalat is a favourite destination for local honeymooners as well.

Go there during the strawberry season and you pay the farmer 5bucks and pick as many strawberries as you can eat :D

probably my next destination. u got good deals for dalat also?

Looking at the mekong delta 2 days 1 night tour and both agencies are competitively priced. Delta's seems to have additional programs scheduled including a bicycle ride through some attractions.
Only sinh has the 1 day Cao Dai / Cu Chi Tunnel tour.

i could help to get u an affordable accomodation at Dalat. and you can in turn save money via transportation by using sinh cafe's open bus transfer to Dalat :D

but let me know when u plan on going to dalat in advance.
