hi, may i know what brand is your sim card? which airport did you get them from? and does it come with nano sim version?

Hi,
It's vinaphone and yes it comes with nano sim, you might have to top up a bit for it. Saigon airport. After you clear customs you will see money changes and phone companies on the left side. Vinaphone is the extreme left booth.

hihi... would like to know besides the airport can change dong currency..... the gold smith in Ben Thanh still able to do so? Saw some bros stated that its illegal to change there liao...wonder how much I need to change in airport.... wonder should I change all i need at airport instead. :s13:

A few gold shops are able to change dong, but the airport rate is still higher then them, I changed at gold shop, got 16425 dong, at airport saw it was 16660. When I changed at the gold shop at the night market area, quite a lot of locals hanging around, does not give you an easy feeling to change, especially if you change a big amount. At the market area most shops will accept Malaysian ringgit and they display price in rm, too many Malaysian people go there till all the shop keepers can speak Malay. The fruits are very nice over there and very sweet.

Hanoi PRs or experts,
Like to check on how's the weather like in Hanoi, Ha Long Bay & Sapa during late December - early Jan? Will it be rainy or just chilly? Bearable or si-bei-sian type?

Just from your experience, no need to invoke weather God. :D

Thanks

Same plan. What airline are you taking ? Trying to find the cheapest one. Looks like Tiger so far.

Tentatively will be flying with Vietnam Airlines.
Any idea where we can sign up for those activities package?
Such as kayaking through the grottos and cruise.
Is there any other things we can do over there?

change at vietnam, should have ard $16500 ba ... lately fluctuate quite a bit but for sure much better than SG.

Can change some or all at hcm airport.
if you have a lot to change and going to ben thanh market at D1 then maybe can try there for a slightly better rate.

no need USD, change lai change kee,... only give $$ to $$ changer.
in vietnam, with dong will travel.

keep some S$ just in case. :D
