maybe all should use dhcp v6. then all will surely work :p

Yes but many of our power users are further subnetting their assigned /48.

With DHCPv6 I can delegate /64 standard only or things will act up.

Static IPv6 is part of the IPv6 networking world and is part of the IPv6 ready logo certification.

If a vendor does not have a perfect implementation of IPv6 you can't outsource the problem to the ISP to work around such bugs.

As far as possible VQ has worked with Asus as well as provided various ND cache flushing techniques where possible as workarounds meanwhile.

However as adoption increases in enterprise and power users' homes, I see no reason that we can't roll out static IPv6

Official = logo certification. You can't imagine the type of complaints I've heard that the box says IPv6 ready when it won't work…

I will press the panic button directly tomorrow when face to face with the team :)

You know and i know that ASUS are revamping how the IPv6 function by removing current set of radvd and implementating odhcpv6. Just for the record for the sake of the readers, Mr Monkey are part of the inner ASUS circle lor as a VQ official representative.

I'm been trying out new firmwares from ASUS for various ASUS routers SKUs from the upcoming ASUS RT-AC87U, ASUS RT-AC68U, ASUS RT-AC66U has odhcpv6 and so far it's working fine as intended.

See above.

Cisco SMB? :s13:

DL380 G7?

Overall - still prefer Procurve over Cisco SMB anyday.

Big difference from the Catalysts ...

Playing around with this now...
