When I was booking my airticket using my card, the website asked me for an OTP sent to my phone. No option to use my Bank Token. Luckily I'm still in Sg now so I can just get the SMS from my phone.

But I was wondering how will I be able to book my hotels and tickets if I'm already overseas, using my overseas SIM card?

Has anybody encountered this issue? What is your solution

Either try another credit card bank or buy thru third party platform i.e travelocity.

I tried OCBC, DBS and UOB, all seem to have this OTP thing.
Have a feeling maybe all Sg banks have it due to some regulation?

3rd Party Platform is a good idea! But then again if the platform is enrolled into this 3D Secure thing, then the OTP problem will still be there

Dual SIM phones seems to be the trend nowadays, looking into 1 of those.

Better to bring your Sg Hp and switch it on imho. You never know when there's an emergency call coming in...

Currently I'm considering this loh. Or bring a dual sim phone. But scared later tio robbed, both phones gone :(

Just checking. If I bring my sg phone n sim with roaming overseas, how long does it normally take the sms otp to reach? Cos normally otp has a time limit of 2 or 3 minutes right? Thanks.
