Hi Kang,

Quick check with u :-

(1) I am going from 30 Nov to 12 Dec 2013 with my family (5 persons). If I apply now, the 1 year validity date will start from the day of departure to Australia, or the day we do the application?

(2) I have another 2 friends who is going mid to end Dec 2013. Can I help them to apply together with mine (although different departure dates)?

Pls advise.

Thank you.

Visa valid for 1 year.
If apply today (25Sep13), visa will expire next year 25Sep2014

If travelling Dec, apply somewhere around late Nov or early Dec.
If they want to apply together with you, also can.

Apply Visa at least 7-10 days before departure.
Even 1 day before departure also can apply Visa, but very risky.
There is always a 1% chance that your visa will be reject or ON HOLD (Pending)

For Malay or Indian applicant, I would appreciate the the additional information.

Last Name (Family name or Surname) : ?
1st Given Name : ?
2nd Given Name : ?
3rd Given Name : ?

=======================================

Singapore & Malaysia passport does not show Surname or Given name column, we usually apply the Visa (or read the name) from left to right.

Or we will use the barcode (on the bottom of the passport) to determine the person Last Name

Example : Mohd Bin Ali
Last Name (Family name or Surname) : Mohd
1st Given Name : Bin
2nd Given Name : Ali

For those applicant who are worried that the Australia Visa is not authentic (or fake), you can go thru Australia Government link to check the ETA status.

https://www.eta.immi.gov.au/ETA/etas.jsp
1) Click "Apply for a ETA"
2) Answer all the questions
3) Once you reach payment page, system will prompt you that you are holding a valid visa.

Dont worry, whatever info you had just key into the system will not affect the Visa that I had applied for you.
