Yes, u are rite.
VISA hardly rejected. Maybe a minority of less than 0.5% will fail.

But with effect from 30Oct2014, Australia Government changed NEW Rules.
Once the VISA is approve, if you notice any wrong details on the VISA confirmation slip, we are not allow to cancel/amend it.

It will takes 2 to 10days to rectify this amendment directly with the Australia Government. Which is very very troublesome and time consuming.

And for those who always apply last minute, you really cant afford to have any mistake on the VISA application.

Me too....always rejected during the olden days using IC no as the Passport no.

But once changed to the NEW type of passport starting with "E", I have no problem getting the Visa.

yesterday i went to travel agency to apply australia visa.
they print the ETA approval to me and ask me to keep it in the passport. The didn't send me email with the referral code so i can't check my ETA online now.
This is my first time to australia, kind of worried my visa got problem @@

What are u worried about?

Yah i should trust them. Just my own problem, i like to confirm thing myself or else i feel insecure

I mean the reference number to check ETA on their website.
