hi guys,
Just to share something cool that i found.
Visual Programming - Tersus
www.tersus.com
I've programming background in C/C++, VBA, Java etc
and i've been on the Tersus platform for the past 3 years.
I don't know where to begin to express my joy for this platform. Only a fellow programmer would really appreciate this if you code on the platform.
The coolest thing i like about it is the debugging is visual too
You can easily code web based program and even mobile apps on the platform. Personally, i can do a custom web application prototype complete with login, role based permissions and some major requirements in less than 4 hours. I have done a simple Android/iPhone app and a few web based system using this platform. Interfacing to web services, various databases (Mysql/MSSQL/Oracle) no issue....
The only drawback is that would need quite a fair bit of CSS to brush up on the user interface of the web application. Even then sometimes don't look too cool.
The strength of the platform is ease of coding, ease and quick to understand/change/maintain and getting the logic into the web application easily and quickly.
My feel is that this platform is really suited for SME companies which are focus more on cost/maintenance and getting the job done. Not minding too much in esthetics.
Check it out and feel free to share your comments
Would be glad to share what i know
