Hi Guys if I wanna implement a webpage using ASP.NET using visual web developer which can be downloaded free from MS website, do I need to pay a license fee if it's a webpage for a corporate company? Thanks.

Visual Studio Express, if that's you are referring to. The question if it can be used on commercial development has been asked numerous times on the Internet. The answer provided yes. Your official answer is found in the whitepaper at Download Visual Studio and MSDN Licensing White Paper from Official Microsoft Download Center

However you are obviously required to be licensed to deploy your website it on IIS and Windows Server platform.

hi david thanks for the replies and the link. Your last statement did you meant that if I were to host it on my own IIS server I would need a license. I was thinking of hosting it on a webhost like godaddy.

License to run your own IIS is not related to Visual Studio and ASP.NET

If you are using godaddy, your hosting cost with godaddy would have some amount of cost for IIS. So it is transparent to you.
