Hello... Anyone heard of this or using this? Want to get one but not sure if they sell it is Singapore. I have heard of some people buying it for >$1,000 but Amazon is selling for way less, like $500+ at most.

So if cannot get in Singapore, possible to bring in the US model and use? US model is 110v and 11.5 amps/1380 watts. I have a power transformer for converting 220v to 110v but not sure how that would affect the machine. Need some experts here.

Appreciate if people with more knowledge and experience can advise. Thanks!

(PS. I posted this thread in the EDMW forums but it got buried so fast that I couldn't find it anymore. Plus I think putting it here may be more appropriate as well since I am planning to use the blender for food preparation as well as making drinks and stuff. Seen a lot of nice videos on how to use it for various kinds of foods.)

Thank you!

I did a few research and also think of ordering from the states. calculate the conversion+delivery+tax+buying a transformer, the most u can save is S200-S300...

The transformer is not cheap either... it need a 2000w transformer to use on the vitamix(Rule of thumb-use only 3/4 of the transformer capacity). If u have such high capacity of transformer then u might save extra S100-S150...

but got ppl buy from amazon and deliver here... buy transformer still cnt use... so its really a luck thing.

Locally selling around 5200 cost S1314...
Vitamix prep 3 cost S1150. (Better)

Thanks so much for your reply!

So I will have to get the high capacity transformer which costs $100-$200? Will any hardware store have it or is it like a very hard to find item?

Thanks for the local prices of the blenders but do you know where can I buy it in Singapore?

If wan2 buy transformer... i read some forum they suggest go sim lim tower... not sure about sim lim square... also this is a very important problem... normally there is 2 type of hz used... 50 and 60hz. the USvitamix is running on 60hz...if our current is 50hz only... we will only have 83% of the max turning speed. so this play an important role in choosing an US model.

For 5200... its called billyhouse...its a vitamix dealer in singapore... but its really too pricey at 1314.
Vitamix prep 3.... i think its called simplex ptd ltd... he is selling 1132.

vitamix prep 3 is more powerfull... 3hp compared to 5200 that is 2hp... the only issue is the carafe... its not bpa free... but i read about BPA... for me its just a sales gimmick... for a certain plastic maker to earn more money with their special plastic....

Do ur own research... i will be getting the vitaprep 3...

Vitamix vs Blendtec

The only way to ensure our good health is to empower our immune system by taking the right food..Phytochemicals are important and it is the real key to a complete nutrition program. A 3horse power machine is very important so it is a decision you need to make before commiting to getting one for yourself. Dr Tom Wu and other naturopath recommend getting at least a 3 hp blender such as the Blendtec Blender.

I got a friend who bought the 5200 from US, and use it with transformer with no issues. I don't think you can find Pro 750 here, I only know they were selling 5200 here.

Hi. Yes, it could save you hundreds if you import the blender directly from USA and transformer. But the blender is not worldwide warranty and unless you are willing to ship back to USA to repair. Local set, it comes with 7 years warranty and this will give you a peace of mind.

Just my 2 cents :)

Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender

Hi, I am interested in purchasing Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender. I try to google where to buy in Singapore and also email 2 retailers but they never reply me at all which is disappointing. Anyone has any ideas? It will be such a big help if you have any information on getting the 750 Blender.

I'm currently using the Philips blender but the blade start to ooze out this black chocolate liquid! It doesn't help no matter how many times I clean it with the "easy clean" function.

As far as I know the distributor/retailers only brings in the lower version - I have not seen anyone selling 750 model.

Thanks cyrilng and alpc. I have emailed some retailers already, they really don't bring in the Pro series 750. I think I will get 5200 series then.

Hi all,

I bought my Vitamix Professional Series 750 already. :) The trick is to buy from UK online stores. One good thing about buying from UK is that they are using the same voltage as SG and also the plug is the same as us so there isn't any issue about the voltage and whatnot. I have try using my blender and it is awesome.

The main issue is the price and shipping. But you can't have the whole cake and eat it so give and take. Good luck and I hope my tip help some of you wanting to get your hands on the Professional Series 750 ;)

Can check how much did it cost you to purchase the vitamix into S'pore?

Thanks

Planning to get vitamix from Amazon UK as suggested. Worth the risk? Quite a big saving even for the basic model.
