The Vivo S50 is set to be announced in December 2025. Looks like to be a China-only model.

Vivo is set to launch the Vivo S50 series, including the standard S50 and the S50 Pro Mini, in China this December. The standard Vivo S50 will use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, confirming a powerful processor lineup for the entire series.

vivo S50 Pro mini design and key specs revealed​

The vivo S50 series is expected to launch in China next month. Last week, the company confirmed that the S50 Pro mini will feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. Now, vivo has unveiled the phone’s design along with several key specifications.

vivo’s Han Boxiao shared the design of the S50 Pro mini on Weibo. The phone gets a pill-shaped horizontal rear camera module, which is reminiscent of the recently launched Honor 500 series and the iPhone Air.

The vivo S50 Pro mini will get a triple rear camera setup that includes a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto unit. For selfies, the phone will offer a 50MP sensor.

It will come with a 6.31-inch flat display and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint 2.0 scanner. The phone will carry an IP68 + IP69 water and dust resistance rating as well.

vivo also revealed that the S50 Pro mini will pack a 6,500mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging support. The phone will pack an X-axis linear motor and UFS 4.1 storage.

Come across quite a number of these from say Techno, Nubia, Huawei now Vivo, really curious to try them out against the iPhone Air.

vivo has also confirmed the color options of both phones via its official online store. The vivo S50 will be available in Confession White, Inspirational Purple, Space Black, and Serene Blue colors. Meanwhile, the vivo S50 Pro mini will be sold in Confession White, Inspirational Purple, and Space Black colors.

The S50 Pro mini will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, whereas the S50 is expected to use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Both phones are said to offer a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera. More details about the phones should be available in the coming days.
