Haha no lah, went there nearby to run an errand. So snap some pics with the Tele lenses along the way.

When I compare both flagship smartphones side by side, the SG flag is a lot clearer with the HP9 sensor while the SG flag is already blur on the JN1 sensor.

In conclusion, you are getting quite a good hp no matter Vivo, Oppo or XM.
REPORT U TO MP i tell you

no need to compare, as a iOS user, and sometimes helping friends trouble shooting their samsuk, Oppo xiaomi and vivo switches around, base on their photo feel , clarity etc.

im not just spending on android rather than new apple device, since iphone can easily last for years, their chipset is just that great

thanks man, at least going through the chat, the other items, and the years on the platform, i can safely pull the trigger

at least this one is on the ball got follow up and recognize as important item, worth alot, and they will have to "eat the sunken cost" if the delivery people screws it up next week

Did they say when it will arrive?

Nowadays China behaving like Japan. Keep their best for their own domestic market.
Not so, because to be international set they need to comply with a lot of standards and regulations I think , plus the current trade barriers it’s on them to “eat “ most of the costs and they will need to dedicate parts and teams to attend

Perhaps you might be right but we can only infer from existing standards and history

Should be not worth the operating cost to sell certain model oversea.

Ultra traditionally has way lesser units sold than the base model. Even xiaomi ultra sold about 500k units in china already considered very good result. Other brands ultra is few times lesser than xiaomi ultra. Perhaps only few hundred units per country if they sell oversea.

The y axis scale in the chart below i think is a million units per line.

exactly why people who suddenly say its to withhold, maybe, but the running costs isnt that simple.
Reason why Tariffs have to be wavier off for smart devices and gadgets in the long run.

but it is astonishing to see the rise of Xiaomi and vivo....

i use to hate china phones, iphone X to 13, where the android clunkiness and lack of security patches from vivo and the likes were just bad......

now?

its flipped over because of how much vested interest there is , for the corporation to actually innovate or copy and implement things that are useful

Are you getting the 1TB with photography kit?
My friend got my unit liao. Will wait for him to fly back and share my reviews once molested.

Nice! But wait a minute based on the launch event I thought official sales start 29 Apr? I did see there was a draw I think during the event which I think was to be able to buy the phone??? Is that how your friend got it today?

Which one did you get?
Hope to see your views too

Presale started 21st April, officially selling in stores 29th onwards. Bought the red base model. Photography and accessories kit will watch reviews first then decide want to get or not, or wait for third party alternatives. For my needs think vanilla model good enough. I have a 2TB magsafe external SSD enclosure which I use for videos and photos.

nope not at all, but if its good enough [ vs what xiao mi ultras 14 and 15 were a flop ] maybe

its their first try, and remembering the bad reviews from 13ultra kit to now 15, they still have not bothered to fix anything after shipping those items,

vivo might be the same. but as eddy0505 has put it , it hsould be good if it sustains

Good points about the photography kit hahaha

really tempted to pull the trigger on the ultra but I may just stick to the pro. Really need more info on the device. I saw 2 or 3 first impression videos from china the video stabilisation isn't looking too good in comparison to the oppo find x8 ultra. Maybe they didn't click some settings or I'm just hopeful that software updates will optimise it better in the days to come

in terms of hardware, is already on paper a victory.

software optimization shouldnt be too hard.

and besides, china companies arent gonna be so stupid to just leave the door closed with bad reviews [ which any online chinese media reviewer can easily do ]

look at huawei mate series chipset, though their folding is impressive, once the initial fever is gone, now alot of people offloading their huawei as fast as possible because of the performance.

im more curious to see how much of a difference in photo taking and procesing does the v-chip actually matter, hopefully someone actually dismantles for us to check ... else it will be another vaporware speech.

p.s not hating on xiaomi and huawei, just base on their track record like how some of the bros actually have ColorOS issue or HyperOS.....
