Hi, just thought I'd start a thread about VMODA cause I haven't seen one and you guys should definitely check it out.
I am a huge audiophile and I know that for those who are really into good sound, you will know that vmoda is really good, esp the Crossfades M100!
Even top DJs like Avicci uses it.

I own a pair of M100, it is really amazing, I don't think I have also seen any bad reviews about it. The bass is good, mid and highs also don't disappoint.
I don't really like when headphones give off too much bass then the vocals fades and distorts a bit. This one doesn't which is perfect.

Anyone else owns other vmoda models or have tried any before?

I actually heard a lot about the M100s, and considering to get one.

Saw this review on Cnet, really tempted to buy it, anyone owns m100s can share details about it?

Go around and listen to more headphones to find one that matches your sound preferences. :)

Don't just base your opinion on reviews or other people's impressions. Do have a listen to the headphone yourself. Trust your own ears. Feel blessed that we have so many audio shops even though we're such a small country.

There are quite a few mid-high end portable headphones around apart from the M100. Here's a short list to get you started, there's probably a lot more than this:

You can read up a little about some of them here:

Thanks for the suggestions, I actually went to hear the other brands.
Thing is, my 1st VMODA M100 was lost when I accidentally left them on the plane so thought of buying one more again, I enjoyed its sound very much. So while missing it, i was considering other brands too, and wanted to know what the general opinion on VMODA was..

But at the end of the day, I still feel the VMODA suits me best.
In terms of sound, they've sounded great with every genre I've tried them out on so far. Rap, rock, country, blues, you name it. And when I'm in the mood for heavier bass, it delivers without distorting which is fantastic!

Going to its design, I love its fit. I think everyone's head is rather different in shape and these headphones fit great with mine, long lasting wear is not a problem at all, and it does not feel hot, which is key especially in Singapore's weather. The durable full metal frame and removable nylon cable makes it worth every penny. But things like this are very personal as is the sound..

Ended up buying the black one, absolutely enjoying every sound that comes out of it!

Wow, which airline you left? You should have called them, or I can be there to collect :D Hehe.

I tried M100, and it blew me way. The bass, clarity, everything.. just wow, especially the low bass it produces.

Haha, I left it on an SQ flight. I do not wish well on the person who has it now.

But it has been a few months since I got my new headphones - absolutely loving it, and hoping I'm never gonna lose them, cost me quite a hole in my pocket!!

I love that the sound does not compromise even after a few months, some other headphones do and that does not make it worth the money for that sort of quality! The M100s have proven to be withstanding the test of time and that makes it less of a hassle in the long run too.

Would highly recommend the M100s! I'm definitely looking out for VMODA right now, it is the brand I would recommend for headphones that last.

I think for XS they try to balance between comfort and isolation, coz if the headphone clamp harder, I think some will find it a bit uncomfortable.
I bought the white XS on Saturday for my wife.
Now she already asked me to order customize shield from V-Moda :p
