I think for XS they try to balance between comfort and isolation, coz if the headphone clamp harder, I think some will find it a bit uncomfortable.
I bought the white XS on Saturday for my wife.
Now she already asked me to order customize shield from V-Moda

Where to get the customised shield? V-Moda doesn't ship to Singapore addresses, unfortunately ....

Hi yeokp! We actually find that the Vmoda LP2 has clearer mids and bass is more controlled in totality compared to the LP. LP2 also has the Remote and Vocal versions, former has mic and volume control while the latter is a built-in microphone only. Do check out the demo sets in either of our stores.
