wow i see this thread the 1st time. U know when asking for advice here what answers i get?? buy local dun buy overseas. How to buy local when they dun even sell it here,

Guys just a question.

newegg.com requires your credit card to be from the US yet i am sure u guys know a way around this. I tried with paypal and it does not work even though they support paypal.

I have vpost but then u know my shipping address obviously doesn;t tally with the billing since newegg wun even ship to singapore.

So how to buy and ship to SG from newegg if their credit card payment doesn't even have SG in it.

From what I read,

Borderlinx is the beset. Cheap, fast, flexible.
Comgateway is okay too.

Both borderlinx and Comgateway customers get a "unique address". No storing in one huge warehouse. Now everybody gets a pigeon hole.. their unique address.

And as for vpost, avoid at all costs. Expensive, slow, lousy.

Well personally I didn't try any of them. Just telling you what I read.

Guys i went to shop at any american store hosted by http://www.internationalcheckout.com/

The thing about shopping from some online sites take newegg.com for eg is that they do not accept credit cards from another country. Other sites that ship direct say alwayslowest.com might not have the best shipping rates.

I already signed up for borderlinx so 5USD paid to have my own 'suite'.

Yet how is this going to solve my problem of buying from online stores that only accept US credit cards????

Internationalcheckout.com did everything for me. I key in the website, part# dimensions, country to deliver to and they quoted me a price.

So paid but then i was thinking hey maybe borderlinx has better rates. So i was thinking to do it in a 2step process to pay cheaply.

The thing about shopping from borderlinx and not being a resident of the US is that u might need to fax your details to certain E-tailers if they ask for them. I read their FAQ already.

Shipping wise should not be a problem since u already have a US address.

The thing that attracted me to borderlinx is cheaper shipping rates.

someone else told me about www.myus.com They have a special service that buys the goods for you.

I tried www.internationalcheckout.com and all they required me was to key in the e tailer's website, part number etc and the rest they would do for me. Problem is i dun like their shipping rates.

Quite a hassle around here.

Can I pay US stores with a non US credit card?

* Using a non US credit card
Check whether the store accepts non US credit cards when you checkout from their site. Some stores (e.g. zappos.com) will ask you to fax them a copy of your credit card along with a photo i.d.

A bit of a hassle for some ppl IF the store doesn't do it.

Got to check means still have to call up and ask. If dun accept then how??? Lan lan right?
