I need to warn you guys about comgateway unethical business tactics.

I have issues with comgateway 2 months ago, in which, they return all my parcels back to Amazon.

When the parcels have been returned, the refund should be credited to back to my Amazon accounts. In this case, I have contacted Amazon about the refunds, which were being issued last month. Yes, they have issued the refund, but not to my Amazon account, but to comgateway's Amazon account. In Amazon's own words, comgateway has requested the refund to be credited to their Amazon account.

This is being unethical and money stolen from me. Potential customer(s), beware.

PM to comgateway in hardwarezone is not being replied as well.

So did you get your money back from comgateway ?

how is this even possible?

they would've have had to create a payment to comgateway instead of refunding it - a whole new accounting process.

well at least now we know you were kidding when you said they stole your parcels hehe

Well, I not kidding about the stolen parcels. Initially that was the thought, but after checking through parcels have been returned, but refund is sent back to Comgateway's Amazon account.

Understanding from Amazon, Comgateway printed their return mailing label instead of Amazon return mailing label, and therefore request refund to their Amazon account.

No, they say my comgateway account is frozen and do not want to speak with me. But then a representative called me on the phone and say that they will send me the tracking numbers of the returns to my email 6 weeks ago, till now, I have received none.

Its fine if they want to freeze my CGW account, and they mentioned they returned the parcels back to Amazon, and tell me to contact Amazon for refund. And now, they ask for refund directly to Amazon account, instead of to my account. This is Comgateway hypocrite way of doing business.

not stolen if they returned it leh..?

you sound really upset, and i'm not sure if you missed out some details. but i really don't think it's possible for them to return to another account, since that means PAYING that person money, instead of just reversing the transaction.

if the above were possible, i'd just go drive around the US and steal everyone's amazon packages and return them, using different new accounts and different names. and then have amzn refund to my many accounts. then i'd come back rich.

you may wanna check with amazon directly. good luck.

Yes, initially my thought of the parcels were stolen, because Comgateway refuse to provide any update of the tracking number to me. After pushing and sending them multiple emails, a CGW representative called me and say will send me the tracking numbers.

After waiting for very long, I did not receive any email from CGW on the tracking number. And I contacted them again, they do not want to provide me any update.

I checked with Amazon, parcels have been returned but credit is refunded to CGW amazon account.

Flexicon, there is no need for me to post screenshot to proof anything. I am a hwz user registered for 15 years, not a newly account registered just to bash CGW. I had dealed with over thousands of customers in HWZ and sold Nexus tablets when Google first launched. Comgateway representative is online in hwz. Just need to put a little thinking cap. They are online but refuse to rebute my statement. They can reply to other people. That should say something.

hi, I bought an item from US. The item reached my Hopshopgo place. Now ready to be ship. But I forgot the price of the item I bought, it should be more than $400 which I am expecting to pay the tax. So is it ok for me to put the item at $400 and pay the tax? Or if the item is more than $400, what will happen? Can anyone advise me? Thanks.

PS: Do HSG have promo now?

people only beat the system if they don't want to pay tax. if the difference is not substantial, i suggest you put the original amount. If your parcel do get lost, the claims amount will be refunded to how much you declared. i.e. you declare 400, but parcel is worth 500, you only get back 100.

rarely, but sometimes, customs/HSG do check on value of parcels, and they may hold back if they suspect something is wrong with your value.

if you bought an item using the same email, you should be able to track the original amount of the item in the invoice.

I've decided to stop using hopshopgo(comgateway) and maybe try gshipexpress for my next purchase. I find comgateway services less than satisfactory ever since they relocated. The time it took for them to update the system to reflect my last package is unacceptable. I waited three working days from the time USPS tracking said it was delivered, till it showed up in my hopshopgo account. To add salt, my package only showed up on a Friday in my hsg account, meaning nothing gets done till Monday.
Is this new delay tactics a new strategy to get their customers to use their express services to make up for lost time now?
Whatever the case, i definitely don't like it and am going to take my business elsewhere.

This is my first time buying from bestbuy.com.
After making payment using my singapore credit card, the order is successful. Just 1 minute later, bestbuy email me that the order is cancelled because they can't verify the CC!!!

Any one had the same problem before, and any advice?

Thank you.

You can't buy from BestBuy directly.
1) BestBuy does not allow forwarder address
2) BestBuy does not allow non-US CC

You have to use those "buy for me"/concierge services through your forwarder to purchase from BestBuy.

Can I buy from walmart instead?
Do they allow forwarder address and non-US CC?

You can use GShipexpress shop4me services. I brought from Bestbuy using their services before. For Walmart, no comments. Never use before

Beware of GSHIPEXPRESS - poor customer service, expensive charges

I have started another thread but this is FYI for those reading about forward shipping reviews.

I recently tried gshipexpress following good reviews on HWZ.

They promote that they offer "FREE REPACKING" service but in reality, its bullsh*t.

I purchased 2 items, a kindle and a kindle cover and both were sent separately.

After "free repacking" The are charging me 1kg for kindle and 3kg for the cover - so total 4kg. The cost to send the cover is more than triple of the cost of the product.

Reaching customer service is impossible. I have emailed them numerous times and they completely ignore and do not send a reply. The email works as their response to other questions such as "where is my item?" is pretty much next day.

My past experience with comgateway has been great with live chats and I thought of trying out gshipexpress for their "free repacking service" but this turns out to be rubbish.

Avoid GSHIPEXPRESS if you need to receive multiple items or if there is ever a need to contact their customer service.

ps. I don't even know if the item will reach me as I am still awaiting their reply.

I agree with the above poster on Gship Express. I have 3 pieces of light clothing being placed into a huge box. Repackaging does not seem to work as promised. I am still trying to reach them to solve the huge box issue. Response time is very slow.

I will go back daigou/cgw/vpost next time.

First time trying gshipexpress, initial contact was an to their customer service was via the "Contact Us" within the gshipexpress portal. It was an enquiry about my parcel; tracking showed item has arrived at gshipexpress warehouse, but it wasn't updated in their system. The reply was prompt, but I forgot to include the tracking number so they couldn't check the status for me. I replied to the same email with the tracking number, but there was no reply from them. Tried replying to the same email the next day, still no reply from them.

My package was updated 2 days from the day of arrival. gshipexpress quoted me for 1.5kg chargeable weight, 30cmx34cmx10cm. Which I thought was quite big; I ordered a pair of Goalkeeping gloves. I replied via the same email from earlier if my parcel was already repackaged. No reply still :s11:

It was then I tried using the "Contact Us" page, automated reply, followed by a reply from their customer rep :s12: I made sure the message was detailed to avoid having to contact them again. Parcel was repackaged to 34cm x 15cm x 8cm, 1kg chargeable weight, and is now on the way to SG.

So maybe their email reply system doesn't work or they've blocked it most probably to avoid spam? My observation could be wrong though :o

I did write to them using both the contact us page as well as direct email with no reply for many many days. This is their reply to me today:

"At present, repacking is only limited to a single bulky parcel into a single smaller parcel.
And unable to repack multiple parcels into a single parcel based on our repacking policy."

So beware if receiving multiple items as they do not repack multiple items.

Got my repackaging request sorted out. I have 2 packages reduced 1.5kg and 2.5kg respectively. Best is we practise our due diligence.

Not as cheap as daigou, but shipping looks faster.

Btw I noticed GShip has a local contact no. so I reckon it might be easier to contact a rep if any issue occurs.
