Yea , actually it is quite stress on the eye .After i played with samsung vr for 1-2 hrs , i close my eyes i still have the full 360 feeling kinda weird . Anyway i think vr tech is still too expensive and not friendly yet. So i just go for Rx480 since i m happy with 1440p mid-high settings

Well, I believe VR has lot's of room to grow, especially on the screen side.
Currently, both Occulus and Vive has screen-door effect when you see through it. Resolution is just not high enough.
However, if they happen to use super high rez panels per eye, it would eliminate this effect. Now I ain't saying that games have to run at super high rez. The screen just need to be super high rez. Perhaps 4K per eye.
As for those looking for a gfx card, I'd go for nVidia as they announced SMP (simultaneous projection) for pascal which helps alot in improving VR performance :)

I think vr is here to stay. Besides vr headset ,GPUs and consoles are gearing up to support the development. I saw some people demo YouTube and I think it's a huge challenge to use vr in the optimal environment. For e.g. you need decent room to move around with the HTC vive. And also need to mount IR sensors on the ceiling . Personally it will be hard not to mess up the hall/room just to setup vr properly.

well, that's why there are lens in it to allow your eyes to focus as though they are focusing normally, and not focusing on something that is 4-5cm away from your eye. you know, that's how lens work, like in binoculars, microscope, etc. :s22:

There's nothing wrong with doing that. The dizziness is caused by motion sickness. There are no proof as of now that using the computer for long periods, reading in low light, all the old people warnings causes anything to the eyes.

There are articles online regarding studies on these. :)
