Who invest in one of the state’s vehicle?

I see their liquidity n ter r similar

Only diff is currency n accumulating/distributing

Pounds have been depreciating... So the currency that the etf is traded in doesn’t matter right? What matters is the underlying companies currency

VWRD and VWRA are similar in that they both track the FTSE All-World Index. VWRD distributes dividends, VWRA reinvests dividends.

CSPX is different. It tracks S&P 500.

Currency that the ETF is traded in doesn't matter.

Keeping it simple (because it is), among these three VWRA is generally the best choice. Of course, U.S. persons shouldn’t touch any of these funds.

Hi BBCWatcher, is there any disadvantage in buying VWRD, compared to VWRA? Other than having to reinvest dividend manually.

Oh!! Ok I mistaken

How about VUSD and VUSA?

I want to track SP500 only

VUSD VUSA CSPX

Liquidity and ter r similar.... but VUSA is in pounds

No, that’s the disadvantage.

I don’t recommend that, but proceeding....

VUSD VUSA CSPX

You wouldn’t choose the British pound variant unless you happen to have British pounds already. That’s because it’s very slightly more expensive to convert some other currency to/from British pounds. (Possible exception: if the fund invests in pound-quoted assets and gets some meaningful fund level efficiency that way. That’s definitely not the case here.)

VUSD is a distributing fund, and CSPX is accumulating. We’ve discussed many times before how accumulating funds are generally better picks other things being equal.

Ya cspx is accumulating but I was calculating their annualized 3 year trailing returns for the past 10 years since vwrd incepted and compare the average of it .

And vusd is about the same as cspx BUT vusd still pays dividends on top of it!

So looking at total return it seems like vusd is higher than cspx despite both tracking the same index

Any ideas why?

No, that’s the disadvantage.
