My Waffle maker fuse burned because it is American and I forgot to put in a voltage converter. The brand doesn't exist here so I can't send it to a service center. Does anyone know where I can find a shop that fixes appliances? Of course, they may not have the correct spare parts but I want to at least try.

For hardware issues, we usually refer people to Nigel's shop at Sim Lim Square #02-32. :)

This is not the right place to post, and I do agree that it is not worth repairing as well. If it is just a blown fuse, then you can just get a replacement fuse. But in order to use this locally, you need to get a transformer, which may cost as much as buying a new wafer maker.

This is an interesting query indeed.

@all HWC users - is it time we started a Home Appliances forum section? :)

this brand not good ah?

i wanted to buy this exact same waffle maker leh...

At that price I wont complain cos it would still cook waffles. Personally have less belief in these brands which use off-the-shelf China designs and stick their logo on it. Lower grade power cable, lower grade plastics, lower grade workmanship etc.

Had Powerpac, Europace, Mistral branded fans before reverting back to Panasonic/KDK. If got money, I'd buy this waffle maker: https://www.amazon.de/Krups-FDK-251-Waffeleisen-Belgische/dp/B008GT06QK/

Though only €29 (after VAT removal), it's another €45 to ship to SG :(

Appliance spoils means its an excuse to get a new one

Saw this kind of waffle maker and it looks pretty interesting. It's standing, so perhaps takes up less space on the counter top
