not a fake shop. pretty cheap also. just that you have to bear with their "buy immediately else f*** off" attitude.

each shop has its own complaints and complements

check for distributor warranty, if covered by the big 3, then you are pretty much safe as you dont have to go through the show for warranty

if u know what to buy, compare the pricelist and find vid pro best price, go ahead

cause vid pro dont really entertain ppl who doesnt know. u will be better off in pcthemes, bell or fuwell if u need recommendations for parts.

in my opinion, tradepac pricing can "fight" with videopro, don't be surprised that some of the items can be cheaper than videopro although the shop is managed by ah nehs...At least they don't give you the look of want to buy, buy, don't buy, don't buy lor look...Another shop is chamoxa, although no price list for you to look around first, can use although shops price lists to bargain with them...Can also take a look at Laser and Best Price shops to make comparison also...

To me, a 'better rep' shop in SLS is a shop with least % of complaints.

Normally popular shops will have more poeple buying, and thus number of complaints will go up respectively.

Check around and compare prices.

Personally I will never go to any shops that do the following in general:

1. have take it or leave it attitude
2. U come in and buy; not buying fk-off
3. Sue the clients when they complaint online
4. never rectify mistakes
5. expensive

Check around the forums too, normally they will give you recommendations on better shops. But you still have a chance of being frustrated but at least these shops will try to rectify the wrong/mistakes

Good luck

I've been to vid pro quite often, most of the time I'm buying stuff from there. The only thing I don't like is they treat me like invisible even though I have quite a few stuff on the counter. The staff were sometimes busy talking with friend (I don't know, but that guy is just not a customer) or stand there look left look right. Saying 'excuse me' won't work, I had to almost shout before anyone came to serve me. Bo bian, want cheap price also have to pay this 'price' of not-so-good service.

Last time since 2006 i used to go video-pro to buy PC stuffs, because they have wide range of components to choose from, i even recommend a few of my friends to buy from them. That was the time when they were in level 4 of SLS.

yesterday i went down to their shop(shifted to level 5) wanting to buy a gigabyte motherboard, they told me for all their gigabyte motherboard, they are only selling it if you are buying the whole PC bundle. Reason given they direct import their gigabyte motherboard so no local warranty but if you buy the whole PC from them, they could give you one year warranty.

Can they do this kind of thing? i mean this is kind of stupid because is a DIY PC component store, you choose the parts you want and if they don't have it they can't force you to choose something else for the bundle right? DIY store but forcing people to buy bundle? if they can't sell their gigabyte motherboard then they shouldn't put in on the list and act as if they can sell separately.

sure they can do this. However, it's your choice as customer to buy or not.
As for me, I'll be leery to get this kind of deal. You won't know if they'll really honor the warranty.

I have sent to video pro recently. Their service didn't seem that bad. When I went there, a Chinese guy avg height. A little plumI, served me. he seemed nice. Just worried if their product is authentic? Heard from a few friends that shops at level 5 tends to sell components that are 2nd hand, resealed and repackage. Not sure if video pro is one of them.
