Rotten Tomatoes also looks for stuff like "diversity" in movies, eg not enough black people and stuff.

I never held high hopes for movies based on video or pc games. When a game that is worth a least 20-30 odd ours of campaign is squeezed into a 2-hr movie, too much has to be excluded to a point that the movies doesn't make sense anymore.

The story is actually not that bad. It would help if you have prior knowledge of the franchise. The story is of the First War, which is actually a complicated yet boring war.

For example, at the start of the movie you will see some characters that you will recognise immediately if you have played the games or read the books before, but if you don't, they don't really explain it to you. However, you can still understand what they are doing there.
