Warning to everybody: if you are going on a beach, DO CHECK if box jellyfish is in the area, otherwise you (or your kids) might end up dead.
A family went to have good time at one of Bintan resorts, 6 y/o boy got stung by the box jellyfish and went into coma. Fortunately his father was nearby and managed to get boy out of the water and administer CPR and that saved him.
Resort had absolutely nothing to deal with this kind of emergency - even a vinegar (not talking about oxygen) - it took them 6 hours to get boy from Bintan to Singapore for emergency treatment. And if you are at some remote sites remember that evacuation might (will) not be an option.
In Philippines alone every year about 40 people die from box jellyfish stings.
Don't be in that statistic.
