Do NOT buy Transcend products, NO support WITHIN warranty!

I've got a Transcend SSD230S 1TB since March 2019 and just went dead for NO reason when power on PC.
It's at 98% health and only use for gaming.

Send in to MEMORY WORLD on the 20th Dec 2022
Replied on 28th December, 8 days later, WILL send to Taiwan Transcend and takes around 4 weeks to get replacement. (DELAY 8 days then send?)
NO update, NO news in between.
Sent reminder on 16th January 2023, replied will CHASE Transcend and UPDATE me.
NO update, NO news in between.
Sent reminder AGAIN on 29th January 2023, no reply.

Lol the period of the SSD to die couldn't have been better.

The place of RMA is in Taiwan. By the time memory world send in the SSD to Taiwan for RMA, it is already CNY.

No way that Taiwan will reply to Memory world 10 days before CNY and 15 days of CNY.

You will likely to only receive an exchange back on late Feb.

My take, Memory World delayed sending back the item to try and save money. Send everything back in 1 batch. When it got to Transcend in Taiwan, its CNY period. So for Memory World, while they say they will chase, they should know nobody is going to respond during this period.

You have yet to understand. No Chinese coy be it in China and Taiwan will entertain any RMA request nearing to cny and during cny. So you wanna cry over your transcend SSD, go ahead.

This does not apply just to Memory World. It applies to other disti as well. So long as the product origins are from China or Tw. Near CNY, best not to send in.

cos its CNY period, they have long CNY not like SG.

Yes true, I also send a few items like SSD to other distributor for RMA.
They also told me now it's CNY, the RMA will be longer so most likely
probably in February than the SSD will return back.

Customer expectation : Disti must send out each RMA one by one as soon as they receive each case.
In the real world : Cost of shipping is expensive, that why it is done in batches.

Distributor's role: Item sent for RMA will be ready for pickup in 1 month's time. Will call when ready.
In the real world: AFTER 6 weeks, no news from distributor. Customer has to call to enquire about status, told it is ready to collect.

Happened to me in HK late last year. Hate dealing with the honkies.

I think what TS is mad about is that Memory World took their time to send his product back to Transcend despite promising him a 4-week turnaround time for the RMA.

The delayed sending of the faulty product probably caused them to miss the promised turnaround.

It is indeed their fault for overpromising and underdelivering.
