Make sure you disable

1.IDD calls
2. Barred all incoming calls and SMS

Why ?

They charges $ 6.30 if you accidentally pressed a call to Singapore. I am at Batam now and i accidentally pressed an outgoing call to Singapore.

Also in Malaysia, I didn't barred incoming call and I am hit by a call or $ 4.10 a minute call from Singapore.

They don't warn you on this and you never can get it waived as I tried it during the Malaysia S$ 4.10 incoming call.

So it is to warn all vivifi users. If you have multiple lines like me

1. Simba
2. Eight

They don't have such issue. This vivifi still perform like those old skool Telco that we need to be extras careful when we travel in order not to get hit by insane roaming charges!!

Heads up to all !!

Think Simba and Eight will still charge you when you accept an incoming call when overseas right?

Receive SMS is free for all telcos, even when roaming.

Only when you send SMS when roaming or when you send SMS overseas etc.

You mean once you press a call to SG when in Batam, even when the call was not picked up? Or was the call picked up? And you already know the charges is $6.30 once you call out?

Edit : Saw your other post, the call was picked up by an automated system, so it is considered a successful overseas call.

The MVNO subscriptions are lower, so they make more $$$ from other services like overseas call. They may charge more than the main telcos etc.

Both simba and eight do not charge for answering calls while overseas. They are the only 2 telco/mvnos to provide free voice roaming across all plans.

SIMBA provides the entire suite of telco services, Incoming call while roaming, local call (within roaming country), call back to SG, roaming IDD call (to another country) and sms to foreign number ($0.10 per sms).

Eight only supports incoming call while roaming, local call (within roaming country) and call back to SG. However considering their data quality is much better than SIMBA it may be a good tradeoff for most.

SIMBA & Eight are the only ones that supports IDD. You got it all mixed up, please don’t be the next TS. :o

Better to check before travelling overseas then.

You can forward the VIVIFI line to your Simba or Eight line. And use the Simba or Eight line when travelling.

You mean free IDD calls as mentioned in post #8 right?

Not just support IDD.
