It ish a national swing, and even so WP ish the best performance loser among all the opp so can't be just their fault. Ish just something else that we don't understand yet. If really because they aggressiveness backfire then will only see them ganna poor result nia mah.

But only the daft and gullible plus paul lampard will believe the reason ish because higher mortals did good jobs in last 4 yrs. If those higher mortals themselves really believe so then it will be a very tough 5 yrs for sinkie going forward.

for the sake of discussion, let's be objective and not emotional. i would like WP to win more seats, but sadly, not to be.

we can blame the entire thing on "national swing", but let's face it. there was a "national swing" during the last GE as well, with the oppo parties (namely WP) being the ones who benefited. when it benefited WP, we didnt complain. we cannot complain now that it is benefiting PAP.

what has caused this national swing? people concerned that there will be too many oppo voted in? possible, but not very likely imo. there are other deeper reasons (eg. the fact that WP hasnt exactly strengthen their lineup) that resulted in this poor outing in 2015.

My opinion is that the previous swing to WP was due to the poor performance by PAP rather than the support of WP. The swing can go back once the push factor to WP is reduced.

to be frank, i felt that winning fengshan is critical. the PAP removed this from aljunied as they felt it was key to WP winning aljunied. and yet WP failed to win this ward. very disturbing. the margin is not comforting either.

And yet people are quick to point the finger at wp for being aggressive, arrogant and low on accountability when the whites themselves have been similarly guilty of such for the past 50 years. Damn if you do, damn if you dont. If WP becomes a party that opposes just for the sake of opposing, sure will have people complain that the party is too destructive and out to destroy peace and stability. But when WP takes a more moderate stance, people complain they zhuo bo lan and is just a mirror of pap.
