Google...?

Most should point to Front Load.

Front Load washing are cleaner as it leverage harder on the gravity, though the capacities (kg) are usually smaller than the Top Load ones, which may mean more "wash trips" required, especially for families with kids (and thus lots of laundry).

Personally I prefer the top load, easier to unload.
My mum always sit on those small chair to unload the clothes.
Sometime the clothes will stuck on top of the tub, hard to spot

Top load seems to use a lot of water as compare to front load. Mixed view from Google.

Plus the leakage issue due to old rubber seal.

Top load.

Reason: my family have been using top load ever since I was young. Never had a chance to feel front load. Though my opinion doesnt add a point for you. Haha.

Saw this Samsung addwash (front load) washing machine with an additional small door infront. Quite interesting.

http://www.samsung.com/sg/addwashreward/

Although I am currently using front load, I rarely have additional clothing that I wanted to add in last minute. Most to most leave it for the next wash.

But knowing that top load used quite an amount of water, was contemplating whether or not to get top load for my new house.

Actually also saw this LG band (twin wash) at IMM today which have additional washer below and it is like taller and don't need to bend down. But the price was wow...

Actually I had the same answer as well, but asked TS to Google instead.

Depending on who usually uses the washer, if it is an elderly then I would suggest getting a top load, it makes it easier for them - need not squat or bend down to pick up the clothes.

Conversely front load washers are usually touted as using less water then top load washers.

However the average time taken to wash with a front load washer is a couple of minutes longer.

If space is a constrain then front load may actually be more beneficial, as one can stack a dryer on top of it.

Ultimately pros and cons for each, depending on what one considers to be a bigger factor when buying.

Front is better
Top is more for budget series

Front saves on water, and wash cleaner due to the gravity tumbling effect. It also doesn't entangle the clothes like top loading. Hence more gentle for the clothes as well

i still use top load for the following reasons:

- easier to load/unload.. less back ache
- shorter wash cycles
- i can hang clothes to dry after spin.. so no have dryer to stack
- cheaper one time cost.. tho this may be offset by higher water running cost

I use front load for 10 years plus, top load 2 years. Personally I feel its the same, can't tell the diff if front wash cleaner. Bill don't see diffference as well. Prefer top load so kids can't play with the door.

Hi, has anyone here use LG model FG1410S3W? How is it? Promoter at store says it is twin wash and is suppose to be able to do both front load and top load. Appreciate any positive or negative feedback on it.

Less mechanical less trouble. Unless you need both front and top, why pay for trouble?

Another thing to consider, if you do not need to wash in warm or hot water. Don't waste money to buy those with heater.

Been used to top load but Internet reviews seem to point to front load.cleaner and water efficient. Though I am concerned about having to bend
