Where do you all go find $700 front load washing machines? I went Harvey Norman and Courts and they cost $1200 and up.

btw 3 ticks vs 4 ticks is it an issue ah?
I saw a 8.5kg toshiba around $600 vs 4 ticks maybe 9kg $200 more..
More ticks use less water. Is that $200 savings worth it over the lifespan of the washer?

Check the water consumption of the 8.5kg vs 9kg x Cost per gallon of water x number of washes per week x 52 week x 5 years... assuming 5 years later uplorry.

I think that $200 is worth it. Cos water cost will rise.

Nowadays people ask for recommendations.

Sometimes it's hard to answer the question unless we know what the user really wants. You want alot of features? You want energy saving? You want intelligent control for improved cleaning? You want front load? You want dryer features too?

If your answer is yes to any of the above, the reliability will drop for each "yes".

As more features mean more parts to fail and reduced durability.

The most durable washing machine brand in the market is speed queen. Top load with the simplest turn knobs.

One reason why they last so well is because of the solid construction inside. It's full of metal that can withstand much more wear and with very electronics to fail. So were Japanese brands in the past.

The sad thing is honest companies selling reliable products are dying as they can't define reliability in their brochure to sell to customers. And they have very few things to fail and less repair jobs or could make people buy again. They are also priced higher due to amount of solid material they use. :(
