can anyone confirmed this ?
I am not sure what you mean by active monitoring the blood oxygen ?

But i can confirm, after you click start, it will take some seconds to give you a result.

Not sure if I have answered your question though ...

Cheers

Yes it monitors it. I think it's about 1-2 hours or so. You can view it in your health app --> respiratory --> blood oxygen :)

I’ve been using stainless steel since first gen and I prefer the feel just like a regular mechanical watch.

imo
not worth to get ss version
spend 1k on an electronic watch
when batt died, the watch practically useless
cannot repair
how long can a lit-ion batt last?

Yes not worth repairing if out of warranty, near 600 for the ss version
So better get applecare+ bah
Can just pay $115 to get apple replace the battery if jus batt issue
usually last 3 years at least
Saw some in reddit their gen1 only died recently

The back of my Gen 1 watch recently came off and is affecting my wearing. If not it is still surviving pretty well even though the heart rate sensor doesn't work anymore.

question does the blood oygen does active monitoring ?

Yes it does if your arm is not moving. I think it will try to measure every half - 1 hour but if your arm is constantly moving. It cannot register a reading. I get a lot readings at night when I sleep but not so during the day.

otoh, I would think it's relatively easy to purchase a charger for the AW. whereas one trip I forgot to bring my Garmin charger which meant that for half the trip, I didn't have a watch... :s13:

Anyway, worth it or not is up to each person. I think it's not worth it to pay tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands for a mechanical watch that can only tell the time, but still there's a long waiting list for some Rolex models... :s22:

My AW6 is now a heavy consumption of the battery juice !

I charged below sleep and at night at 12midnight it’s 100%. I then wore it and went to sleep.

When woke up at 7.30am, it’s only 85% nia.

So fast consumed 15% ?

Everyone here also like that ?

Thanks

.

Depends on a lot factors, but that sounds normal. The watch is still on, updating, taking heart rate readings, breathing readings etc all night.

Apply only claims 18 or 20 hours, you got 7.5hrs with only a 15% loss. Quite good.

May I share if you don’t need notification feature when sleeping. Turn on airplane mode and bedtime.

I save more by going to settings and make sure aeroplane mode turn off BT as well(it’s on by default)

So a 7-8 hrs sleep with airplane and bedtime on I only drained about 5-6% generally

Just purchased my AW6 GPS model on last Saturday @ MBS. Battery life with full charge can last me more than 24 hours. Worn almost throughout the whole day including during sleep. Most settings maintained at default with heart monitoring, oxygen check etc in the background. 1 hour+ in the gym working out daily basis. While working out, I’m playing music from my AW to my AirPod Pro rather than from my iPhone.

All working well for me at this moment. :)
