how would you compare a corsair h100i to a swiftech h240x for aio? Still deciding on custom wc as i intend to get a 760t case and upgrade a gpu to 970.

H100i cannot make it against H240X.

Once you hold H240X in your hands, you will turn off those other cheapo made AIO from Corsairs. Dun believe? Hoot first from Lazada and talk later! :D

Swiftech is a nice mix of custom loop fitted into AIO simplicity and pricing.

Agree get the swiftech and end it. save the extra money and buy a 2nd GPU for more raw performance

i noticed the good thing about swiftech is the ability to change tubings and the color of the liquid. and the ability to expand it to gpu as well. which means scalability is there.

If you are adventurous enough you can try Barrow brand fittings. They look immensely like Bitspower except without the logo. Many suspect they share the same OEM. I have some of their 90deg 45 deg adapters in my current build now and they are working as they should.

Most importantly Barrow costs 2/3 the price of Bitspower. Downside is big name retailers don't carry them. You have to search for them on Alixpress.

Meanwhile I'm still procrastinating on going back to hardtubes...

I had a leak before my pc is fully operational. Just rmb to put all gadkets/o rings.

To be honest, with $2k budget at xtreme solutions, u r limited to jus EK brand for everything. If from online, u gt more choices and can save much more.

What i suggest:

Cpu block, rad get from aqc. Their shipping is €34.xx flat. I shippes my parts together with a 5L coolant, shipping still same.

Since ur gpu is giga non ref, u no choice but to get frm PPC. Wait for their coupon to save 8%. Do not separate order just to save on GST, to me, not worth.

For fittings, get last and go forwarder. Cheaper and can siam G**.

I tot u alrdy gt a rig le?

Lower ur psu, u dun need so high for single gpu.

2x 2tb wd green isnt recommended.

Dun need so high end mobo? Normal giga z97 gaming 5?

Check rad compatibility for 450d, slightly squeezy but shld b fine. Hw much is ur budget, including rig and wc?

Sad thing for u is that USD is rising, 1.42 liao as compared to ours at 1.29. So u might spend more than $1.5k, even with coupons and FRANK 6%.

Entire thing from 2k-2.3k try to keep it as low.

The rig i passing down to my father for his office work so i getting new one

But gaming 5 is matx?? Matx board will look weird in atx cases and if i were to get matx case i doubt it can fit the g1 gaming and the swiftech h220-x

The reason why i get a 750w psu is cause i might add another 970 overtime

I shall change to a single 2tb then cause my steam library + origin library of games quite big

Try other brands lor... $2.3k including WC? Or u decided against WC liao.

To uprgrade frm h220x to custom loop, i find it bo liao tbh. Neither here nor there. Either u get aio or go full wc. Dun be like me last time went for Kraken G10 for gpu. End up almost frying it and went for wc. Did nt look back.

which one you reco? cause i know h220x can go to cwc also as seen online from Tech of Tomorrow! but the only problem is the cost! if everything can be fitted within the budget i will go for water cooling! maybe i will start off with cpu first? later then add gpu? but idk which case is nice looking and also will fit all the water cooling parts

Of coz i suggest go full WC. Maybe u get ur rig first and save $1.5k later for WC. Few months down the road or sumthing.

There are many things to consider.

You chassis is one part. Too small also you will post challenges on how to put in your stuffs.

Also the amount of fittings also depends on how you want your loop to be.

The tubes and amount of radiators are all variable cost. Can be expensive if you are doing more loops.

so i get rig and normal air cooled first?? maybe i shall go down and try xtreme solution and ask for price first.. if i am not satisfied with the parts and wc! then i shall get the rig and order the parts online

they dont really reply on their facebook page though.. tried asking something and all they said "will check for you" and never reply ever again lol.. now i have to go down to ask personally.. is there any other shop that does watercooling?? i see swiftech water cooling parts not bad looking leh especially their gpu block

Do note adeep91 variety also nt a lot, mostly EK with some alphacool rads, AQC cpu block (quite ex at $99, imo), etc.

Check his website at Xtreme-PC.

I suggest u play around at PPC. See ur part list will cost how much including freight. Then use exchange rate from xe.com x 1.03. Then if ur purchase is over $250, add in 8% discount from PPC (subscribe to their newsletter to know when will have, next shld be close to easter.) Then add 6% discount after that if u have FRANK card. And of coz GST. That will be the costs including ur own labour costs.

Yes its definitely nice. But when theres a problem. Its very hard to remove. Or if theres a need to upgrade.

Else if you think you just gonna not bother it till the whole system is done for then fine.

EDIT: you will also need to burn more money on fittings also. Angle fittings. Those also not cheap. So long as you need to go hard tubes, you need to spend a lot on fittings. Even it may cost $14-22usd per piece, easily you will use 30+ fittings.
