Hi guys. I'm about to build my first watercooling rig. Can I know whether I'm supposed to use distilled water from Watson or some other distilled water from pc watercooling stores? If so, which store can I get it from.
And also, I saw on lazada there's some bestchem super distilled water for $35 a gallon. What is this miracle water and why does it cost $35?
I'm going to use the distilled water with ekwb cryofuel concentrate.

i used 'life' distilled water + biocide, for many years, no issues, just top up every 6 months.
I think is few cents for 500ml :o

So it's alright to use distilled water sold everywhere? That would be great then. Don't want to have to buy some sort of "special" distilled water for this project.

Best to physically check the water contents table whether it shows 0 for all minerals within. I got mine from Giant, 1.5L at $0.80 only.

May be just out of curiousity, you should drop the seller a question, what is so "super" about the distilled water they are selling. :p

Maybe this is a silly question. Will tap water not work?

Those supposedly highly marked up coolants are basically just usually mixture of distilled water with additives. Any supermarket distilled water will work, but never add tap water into your loop.

Been running my system over 8yrs with distilled water and changing it every 6months. No fouling or bio-growth seen.

Thanks for all the replies! I've gone ahead and used alpheus distilled water, about 80c per 1.5L bottle at sheng Siong. Now halfway done with the petg pipes. I used mayhems part 1 to clean the radiators but not much dirt came out. Maybe part 2 will get more dirt out after the whole loop is done. Very excited to see how much better the 6900xt red devil temps will get after this.
