Hello,

Can anybody recommend places that supply watercooling parts. I walked around simlim yesterday and didn't find any watercooling stuff.

I need to get some coolant. I am also contemplating replacing the GTX295 i am currently running for something less power hungry. Usually i would look for something 2nd hand with waterblock already attached to save money compared to buying seperate new card and waterblock.

Life distilled water :D
That is a good point, I don't have aluminium in my loop anymore so I can switch to distilled water. Do people add some kind of biocide to distilled water to stop algae growth.

A few biocides available on ppcs
Or use silevr kill coil
Some coolants contain biocides so take note

I got 2 big bottles of distilled water from giant.. No kidding

haha definitely...it cost around 1k i heard for the diy by them

Forgive the basic question, I am still n00b level Singlish, but am I correct in guessing that 'DIY' shop mean custom build service? If so then that screws with my head as in England DIY is an as an acronym for Do It Yourself, which is the complete opposite of paying somebody else to do it for you.

Misnomer and oxymoron yes, just lazy singlish things :o

If you're getting small and few parts, most of http://www.xtremecooling-pc.com per part price is pretty close to their USD counterpart. But for an overhaul(blocks+rad+pump+res+etc) you'll save much more importing from sites like ppcs even after shipping, especially fittings. Saved a cool $150 getting my fittings from China instead of locally.

Thanks that is good to know. Hopefully all I need to do is recharge with water and put in a new PSU which I am doing later today. I had a corsair AX860i in there but it died shortly before I moved, fingers crossed it was just a bad PSU rather than it being some kind of short that will fry the new PSU.

It turn out I didn't need any parts because I found a bottle of coolant I forgot I had!

Computer now working but very messy i.imgur.com/lDXkMIKh.jpg

Looks like the previous PSU blew up because of my stupidity, I had mixed modular leads from two different PSU, I didn't realise modular lead pin-outs were not standardised until I took a more careful look at them yesterday.
