I just bought a 2nd hand hp envy 4 1035tx off the marketplace here.

As usual I tested everything before handing over the cash.

Heres the problem,

before i reformatted my computer, the webcam was working and could be detected. However, after I reformatted, the webcam would not be detected by the computer at all.

I have installed the driver as recommended by the hp website. The driver is installed together with the cyberlink webcam software. However, the camera is undetectable even there.

Anyone can advice on how to get the webcam to work??

Have you try this yet?

Testing a Webcam Using YouCam | HP® Support

The youcam is the generic drivers for almost all cameras in the market.

If it does not work, then it is likely a hardware issue.

so sorry to bump this up. but if I were to bring it down to your shop, and you are able to help me fix this webcam issue, how much would it cost? also, I would like to clone my mSata SSD from 32 to 64 gb.

how much would the total cost be.

Hi,

For the webcam issue, what was the result with the Youcam?
After so long, it could be jolly well be a hardware issue.
In addition, it could be camera cable issue, or even that the webcam just happen to failed during the installation process. It is hard to say.

For e.g, the seller have spilled some water to the webcam area unknowingly. Corrosion kicked in, and it happens that the failure coincides with your reformatting process.

Please check PM for cost. :)
