Wah.... I think last time they had this durian paste thing that was pretty good. Is it still available?

Your pictures look gooood, feel like maybe I'll go with my wife next week...

Might not eat much, though at buffets nowadays. Body no longer like last time. Haha... 😩

Yeah it's my mum's favorite buffet. Used to be called Merchant Court Hotel.

She likes the durian paste too. I will end up going everytime I am in SG.

I am less into buffet or all you can can eat these days. The calorie count is what I cannot afford.

I feel sick with the mere thought of gorging myself at buffets to "make the meal worthwhile".

I miss my younger self. LOL.

Still, I'm going to go ahead and have a meal there either this week or the next. My credit card has a 50% off for two diners.

If you don't like buffets then why not go for ala carte?

It's actually the same. Just that you order whatever you want from the menu.

It's just a mental switch.

I guess it's the variety.

We can just sample a bit of this, a bit of that. No pressure.

Moreover, when we dine out ala carte, it's around this price anyway.

I'm just finding a nostalgic excuse to revisit the ex-Merchant Court. :)

Agree about the variety.
Especially the dessert section

But the tendency is to consume too many calories which is why I prefer ala carte these days.

Have to watch the weight.

I feel it's more worth it ... my personal experience
Yah. I eat Zi char at coffee shops for 2 pax already easily $50.

Restaurants don’t even say, easily $100 also. Doesn’t matter what cuisine.
