Weekend mobilization and Make up pay

Hello guys,

I was involved in a mobilization recently which lasted from Saturday noon to Sunday 5am. (Overnight exercise)

In view of my 5 day work week, am I totally not eligible to obtain make up pay for the lost of my weekends? My company is willing to help me submit, I am not sure if they will reject the claim.

Have anyone successfully done so?

I thought if ur company doesn't have to pay u for ur weekend, so why should government pay u? I maybe wrong though.

If my company call me back for work on weekends I also get paid. Then why garment call me work no need pay me in civilian salary?

cheap labour ma. wat to do. but i think u may get rank pay.

the idea of make up pay is to make up for your loss of civilian pay due to your involvement in ns events.

since you never lost any pay so there is no make up pay for you. but you will still get rank up.

u get ur service pay for that few hrs involvement in callup nothing more.
This is not OT lolz....

You will only get rank pay for weekends unless you are on shift work and suffer loss of pay and then only your company can claim MUP on your behalf.

I thought everybody did? 2 years of NS leh. people complain already got what use?

complain what? MUP is to make up for company loss, i.e they paid you but you didn't work and not your personal loss....unless you own boss.

just let it go la, how much difference for 1 day only

still don't get the logic. We already gave 2 years of NS.

Now we should be paid accordingly to our civilian pay for any call ups anyday. garment big fug can fug around with our weekends and decide how much they want to pay meh?

I don't get your logic.

NS liability is not just 2 years. it's until you are 40/50. Just that after the block 2 years, it's up2 40 days a year.

How to complain?

If complain got use, people wouldn't be serving for 2 years already.

i had mob manning activation for 5hrs 2 weeks back.. work mon to fri .. so get rank pay $23 which is only for 2 hrs worth i tink

Even never move out, they will at least make u do something like technical handling skill before they release u....

Yes, that time I kenna 1st aid training. Quite fun since never try before.

My unit even indent free meals and drinks.
