Hello guys,

I was involved in a mobilization recently which lasted from Saturday noon to Sunday 5am. (Overnight exercise)

In view of my 5 day work week, am I totally not eligible to obtain make up pay for the lost of my weekends? My company is willing to help me submit, I am not sure if they will reject the claim.

Have anyone successfully done so?

Thank you

U are only eligible to claim for MUP if u suffer a loss in civilian income, ie if u work on weekends and thus the company not paying for the days u are missing work due to mobilisation.

SAF only compensates you for loss in civilian pay. So if your company does not pay you because you went back for mob, ICT or whatever, you can claim and SAF will reimburse you. They will ensure you do not suffer a loss in your civilian pay.

But if your company pays you even though you go back for ICT and all, then obviously SAF will not pay you again. As mentioned, you are not being paid to serve your country. Its deemed to be an obligation. SAF only compensates you IF you suffer a loss in your civilian pay.

Now if you're working days are 5 day week and you don't work on weekends, I take it that your company will not deduct your pay. That being the case, there is no way SAF will reimburse you because you did not suffer any loss in civilian pay.

The only people who get "paid" when they go back for ICT and all are those who are unemployed. They will pro-rate your last drawn service allowance when you were a NSF. For the rest of us with jobs, you don't get paid. You just get compensated for the days your company doesn't pay you.

1) My understanding is those who come back on Sat & Sun will get rank paid.

2) Unless your company help you claim loss of civilian pay and SAF will reimburse you.

How I know cause I kena point 1 before a few time.

However if let say your SAF100 stated that your ICT will end at 1730hrs but you finish your duties until 0100hrs, you will not get extra pay unless your NS unit amend the date & timing which I doubt they will do it for you.

How I know cause I kena this before too.

SAF is rich enough to call u back on weekday. See ICT or route march training. But u happy if it disrupts your work? :s22:
