Hello. Never happened like this in this game,Control Remedy. Freezing/hanging in Control.

GPU temps are very low 62C. CPU 45C.

It happens randomly when i left game. First time it freezed after 2 hours, yesterday after 12 hours.
Game is in process, but stops responding. I mean mouse not reacting, keyboard not reacting, and character is freezed.
Only i can hear is music in background. I must force CTRL ALT DELETE and close game.

Event viewer nothing say,no app crash,no driver crash.

I have 2080 Ti Aorus NO OC stock,9700K Stock, Seasonic 750W TX ULTRA TITANIUM,32GB RAM DDR4 GSKILL 3000MHZ

ram test NO ERRORS,benchmarks stable

I would test running 1 stick of RAM at a time as a starting point to troubleshooting.

If that does not work, do you have a spare GPU to test? Since you have a 2080Ti I'm guessing you may have something in a drawer somewhere :)

What game were you running? And you say it's just display freeze right, music playing is from the game or from other app (e.g. spotify)?

Nah i tested RAM TEST by KARHU and no errors in 24 hours. Ram its fine , i think. Gpu not crashed because its not driver crash, even not app crash in event logs.

Game not crashed because there is not app crash in event viewer, and no bsod. Game just hanging + music in background from GAME is on + i cant move with character, character is freezed. So yeah in some way its crash. But i think resolved. Its because random EPIC LAUNCHER notifications in down right corner pops up making game hanging. But still unsure.

Today for example game was running 24 hours without issue.

Ah game is Control by Remedy.

Are you using an SSD?

If so, suggest you run the usual SSD maintenance programs to TRIM it and check it for performance issues.

When SSDs act up, they can also cause the whole system to freeze , exactly the way you describe it.
